Katie Connor is a First Year Medical Student at the University of Glasgow. First Class BSc Immunology Graduate from the University of Glasgow. Colleagues describe her as "During Katie’s 8 months on her internship in the careers service she has shown skills in influencing others, as was seen when she promoted the science careers fair which contributed to it being the most attended out of the universities 7 fairs. She is an excellent written communicator and confidently wrote a blog on the "perspective and advice on building back normal student routines after lockdown" and has co-edited a fortnightly careers newsletter called ‘student to student’ distributed to over 2300 students, which will be a legacy of her internship. She also professionally networked with a variety of stakeholders within the university e.g. students, staff and societies to work towards common goals and to raise the presence of the careers service within the university. It is not just her skills that impress me - she is a pleasure to work with and takes the initiative on projects, she can work on her own or with others, she is reliable and has proved to be an enduring ambassador for the careers service."
