A&K’s Playground is a social enterprise encouraging people everywhere to become more open to play. You might just need a little helping hand to get started, and that is where we come in.Alongside Alison Cryan, I design and deliver creative and imaginative person-centred experiences encouraging people to embrace play and it's benefits: improving mood, benefiting wellbeing and boosting confidence.With ideas bursting out across a range of formats and spaces and working with intergenerational groups and organisations, we have made age-friendly work inside Libraries, outside in forests, with museum collections and now through screens.

Title: Biogeochemistry of an eogenetic karst island: implications for diagenesisSynopsis: The research used reactive transport models to identified the parameters controlling meteoric diagenesis in a modern carbonate island environment. This also highlighted the lack of understanding of the biogeochemistry in these settings. To further investigate this, high temporal and spatial sampling was undertaken to characterise the evolution of the biogeochemistry of the meteoric waters as they move through the hydrological cycle and interact with vegetation. Particular attention was paid to the transformations of organic carbon prior to it reaching the water table. Testing in-house build computer software for forward sedimentology modelling of carbonate platforms (CARB3D+).Worked on a research project investigating whether it was possible to identify Milanokovitch cyclical sea level forcing in the stacking patterns of carbonate platforms using Poisson based statistical methods and fractal analysis.Organised AGM meetings from 2009-2011

Intern in the Reservoir Quality group in the Upstream Research Company

Primarily working on active site investigations for soil and groundwater remediation sites.Tasks involved soil sampling, groundwater sampling, cataloging samples and analysis results from external company, environmental monitoring (air, sound and groundwater) and report writing.
