Strategic, financial and operational responsibility for the Department of Orthopedics. The department includes nearly 190 faculty members, over 100 administrative, education and research staff, and top line revenue over $110 million. Partner with Executive teams at UCHealth, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver Health, Veterans Affairs, and Boulder Community Health to develop and execute service line strategies. Lead market strategy discussions on behalf of Orthopedics. Negotiate Real Estate, Joint Venture and other business development opportunities. Partner with CU Medicine to oversee risk payment models. Coach and develop faculty and administrative leaders.

Strategy and business development for the OI in collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The OI includes 74 faculty members in orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, and rehabilitation psychology who see over 90,000 patients annually; the service line has annual revenue over $74 million. Lead team of 100+ administrative and clinical team members. Partner with Marketing & Communications, Physician Relations, Strategy, Business Development, Payer Strategy & Network Development, Community Partnerships and Foundation to develop and execute service line strategic plan.

Operational and financial oversight for the OI in collaboration with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Oversee business and administrative operations of high-volume ambulatory clinics in nine locations. Lead a team of 25 administrative professionals. Partner with leadership in Radiology, Peri-operative services, Ambulatory administration, and Therapeutic services.

Manage daily operations for 32 bed pediatric intensive care unit; supervise 15 administrative support staff in addition to managing the schedules and day-to-day responsibilities of 15 clinical support staff; responsible for $600,000 annual salary expense and $500,000 annual non-salary expense; represent PICU and inpatient nursing on various multi-discplinary and hospital-wide committees; provide administrative and data analysis support for PICU quality and safety initiatives.

Managed relationships with large, corporate donors throughout Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska; responsible for more than $1.5 million in annual revenue; created internal and external communication pieces in collaboration with Foundation Communications team including bi-annual newsletter, donor recognition walls and CMN Hospitals’ web pages.

Creation and implementation of annual fund development strategy; acquisition, cultivation and stewardship of individual and corporate donors; research, submission and management of general operating and restricted grants.
