As Creative Designer for Visual Presentation my main goal is to create an atmosphere in-store that clearly represents the product, brand and over-all marketing message of Shopko Stores. Some of the items I’ve created but are not limited to signs, displays, large-scale seasonal programs, POP, department collateral, store programs. Also, responsible for managing: timelines, budget, RFQ/RFP/PO, print vendors, etc.

Graphic Design Lead of the Wild Bird business unit. Responsible for maintaining continuity of all Wild Bird projects to reflect our brand. Design for retail packaging, magazine ads, brochures and marketing collateral, trade show signage, MN Zoo World of Bird Show trade cards, metal signage, etc. Working within the graphics team, marketing and manufacturing to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Working as a lead on several product line redesigns, coordinating the efforts of several designers and tracking to make sure we stayed on track with the time lines. Involved in implementation and concept development of new projects. Clean up and prepare files for pre-press. Clip and color correct images for production use. Mock up production and review. Also, responsible for seeing projects through to printer by approving color contracts, proofs and attending press checks.

Skills and abilities required for this position include a thorough knowledge of all computer software necessary for the job, knowledge of printing/Pantone color system, resolve problems, managerial skills, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure/tight deadlines.

Responsible for all production duties, meeting tight deadlines, time management, train and direct other Graphic Designers, assisting Art Directors, participate and contribute to ad/brochure meetings. Typography and composition, lead production for the entire brochure, photo selection/manipulation, design and color selection.
