I have been in the hairdressing industry for 18 years, previously working full time in a five star salon for 7 years, then progressing to education by becoming a tutor and an assessor for hairdressing. I worked for Central Training Group for 7 years where I completed A awards, PTLLS and level 4 certificate in education and training. I returns to Central Training Group on a temporary contract for 6 months before gaining a job at Basildon Academies full time delivering hair and beauty, as well as setting up hairdressing for the 6th form. I have my level 2 and level 3 NVQ hairdressing, level 2 barbering NVQ, as well as level 2 key skills for maths and English and level 2 functional skills for ICT. I Have also worked for Jet Hairdressing Academy, where I was able to deliver theory to students, was responsible for my groups progress and made visits to salons to deliver theory and assess practical skills of students while they were in their own working environment, building a good rapport with their employers.I recently worked in a salon, continuing to support the apprentice to progress in her qualification. I also worked part time in a senior school delivering hair and beauty VRQ qualification. Education is where my passion lies. I have completed level 1 BSL, level 2 BSL, as well as level 3 Bsl. I have also carried out courses for make-up. I enjoy learning, and am always willing to progress myself through courses and training. My enjoyment of learning is portrayed in my delivery of information.To expand on my teaching qualifications, I have returned to evening college to gain my level 5 in teaching, to then gain my QTLS so I can become a fully fledged teacher in all areas of education.
