Oversees recruitment of prospective first year students from seven states, including traveling to visit high schools and college fairs, conducting information sessions and interviews, and building and maintaining relationships with school counselors and community-based organizations. Reviews over 1,000 first year and transfer applications each year. Supervises part-time outside readers during application review season, including onboarding, training, and auditing reviews to maintain quality. Leads the Transfer Committee, which includes running biweekly meetings, delegating tasks, training new staff on reviewing transfer applications, and attending transfer fairs at community colleges. Arranges for alumni volunteers at events as Alumni Relations liaison. Greeted, assisted, and presented information sessions to prospective undergraduate students and families who visit the Welcome Center. Scheduled individualized day visits for prospective students to shadow current students, which required reconciling dozens of class schedules and tour times. Conducted up to three admissions interviews a day with prospective students. Assisted with overseeing the AU Ambassadors tour guide program. Tracked and analyzed visitor numbers for a monthly report to the Vice Provost. Former member of Collegiate Information and Visitor Services Association (CIVSA) from 2017-2019. Managed the History Department front office by answering phones, greeting visitors, overseeing student Office Assistants, and maintaining departmental email and social media correspondence. Organized and analyzed data for Department Assessments, planned and coordinated events, processed student paperwork, maintained student degree tracking spreadsheets, and advised prospective and current History students about degree options.
