I oversee the candidate hire process from the time of their initial application to their first day on the job. I conduct an applicant's initial interview, set up their departmental interviews, take ownership of their onboarding process, prepare for weekly orientation, and then deliver the orientation presentation to our new hires. In addition to recruiting for lodge positions, I distribute pack communication posters and announcements, track corrective action plans, administer benefits, verify employment eligibility, and participate in many other tasks that help instill a strong culture at Great Wolf Lodge.

I utilize JazzHR software to coordinate and schedule candidate interviews from application to hire. I also review and update the employee experience hiring process handbook.

I assist patrons in locating, checking out, and returning books. I also ensure that book inventory is up to date by reviewing shelves and retrieve books to fulfill inter-library requests. I work about 15 hours per week during the school year.

I assisted in on-boarding and off-boarding practices for interns using UltiPro software. I created a presentation to teach new hires about employee practices and systems during our new-hire meetings. I edited all job descriptions for internal staff changes and for external career postings. I also aided in the creation of employee improvement plans for grievance complaints.

I manage for transactions using the cash register as well as customize bagel sandwiches to fulfill customer desires.

During the time I held this position, I advised freshmen business students and guide their college endeavors by providing resources, directing small groups, and meeting with students individually to aid in their success.

During the summer, I worked 90 hours per week and lived at a summer family camp. I quickly learned and worked in many roles, but was predominantly a kindergarten small group and activity leader. I also did things like lifeguard at the pool and prepare drinks at the camp coffee shop.
