Whilst working in Dorothy Perkins it was a great opportunity for me to gain experience as working in part of a team. I worked there part time whilst I was gaining both of my NVQ’s at college in Beauty Therapy. I worked my way up over my time there and I was considered a valid member of staff. My roles and responsibilities included delivering a high standard of customer service, health and safety checks, weekly figures and reports, designing displays, merchandising the shop walls, stock takes, security checks, taking part in delivery, helping customers to my best ability in their clothes choice and covering the shop floor when mangers are on their lunch. I made some great friends here and learnt a lot about the retail industry and gained some great skills that will help me throughout life.
