Researched and co-produced nine documentaries on global topics in education for the OECD and the Open Society Foundation. Countries included South Africa, Mexico, Chile, Cambodia and Pakistan. Strategised and helped to create the conceptual framework for the web platform periglobal.org. Participated in the creation of a multi-media web platform targeting the global education community. Platform allows for the posting and sharing of video documentaries, research papers and other documents. It also hosts discussion boards and actively integrates with social media.

Wrote and published "The Paradox of Democracy in Latin America: Ten Case Studies of Division and Resilience," 2010. A well-reviewed meta-analysis of democracy in Latin America, written in easily accessible language for the lay reader.

Successfully led an award-winning effort to renovate a disused piece of urban green space in Central London. Project goal was to benefit the community, in particular the disenfranchised, through providing a multi-use sustainable green space. This project won the national Green Pennant award in 2006 and continues to be an award-winning sustainable development initiative. Shaped the project's goals, governing ethos and practices. Found funding from multiple agencies, including Bridgehouse and Tudor Trusts, and MIND. Oversaw budgetary expenditure, and monitoring and evaluation for funding agencies. Managed staff, set up advisory committee, answered to the supervisory board. Worked cooperatively with other CSOs and local government. Raised awareness of the project within the community, fostering community ownership.

On the advisory board to assess and publish on the efficacy of Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) projects in Central America, which ranged from gender rights to civil society organizations. CAPA summarised and critiqued annually Canada's role within the Organization of American States (OAS) for relevance, coherence, continuity and internal consistency. CAPA presented its findings at Canadian and international conferences, and at round tables with academics, policy makers and para-statal agencies.
