In my role as Senior Safety Engineer, I served the students, staff, researchers, and faculty in the McCormick School of Engineering. My responsibilities included: reviewing hazards and recommending mitigation measures for proposed research work; convening lab representatives and delivering safety-critical content on a regular basis; conducting annual risk audits of lab spaces and work activities; identifying hazardous waste streams and providing management strategies; planning and executing emergency response exercises with local and state first responders; sourcing and managing programs for prescription safety eyewear and hazardous metals exposure.

I consulted in process performance analysis and process safety management with a broad portfolio of clients across industries from food processing to specialty chemicals. I worked with stakeholders across client organizations to identify process hazards, assess overall risk, and institute safeguards to mitigate potential harm to workers, the public, the environment, and business continuity.
