I am open to work related to environmental justice, conservation, spirituality, and/or community engagement and community care.I recently completed my Master of Divinity at Duke, where I explored the intersections of faith, storytelling, climate justice, and community-based environmental action. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri and have deep roots in the Midwest. Prior to grad school, I received my B.A. in Environmental Earth Science from Washington University in St. Louis, worked seasonally for a nonprofit on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, and worked full-time for two+ years with a congregation of Franciscan sisters in trust-based, environmental justice-focused philanthropy. Throughout undergrad, I studied energy systems in Denmark, studied the involvement of women, indigenous peoples, and local communities in global climate policy at COP24, and worked as a student consultant on an environmental justice (EJ) case with a legal clinic in St. Louis. As a grantmaker with the Franciscan Sisters of Mary, I helped to holistically support local, regional, and international faith-based climate and environmental justice efforts. As a member of the United Church of Christ (UCC), I am inspired by my community’s history in the EJ movement and am interested in supporting all kinds of faith-based communities in aligning more fully with science and justice in committed climate action. Across my work, I am passionate about addressing root causes, keeping global and local scales in mind, and moving at the speed of trust.
