My name is Katie Marin, a 22-year-old hair stylist and makeup artist. Currently I am working for Glam Atelier, previously known as Klaud 9. Glam Atelier specializes in bridal hair styling and makeup. I joined the company in February of 2022. This past year I've done 33 weddings, hair and makeup trials as well as editorial photo shoots some of which I traveled out of state. This experience has allowed me to grow as stylist and learn new skills to cater to bridal clients. Prior to obtaining this position I attended Tricoci beauty school in 2020 where I studied the cosmetology program. While in school I worked part time in a small salon as an assistant. During my time there, I improved my interpersonal skills with clients, learn advanced hair techniques, and the business side of the hair/beauty industry. Once I graduated in 2021, I started my first salon job at Chicago Lux Studio (CLS). Working as a stylist at Chicago Lux allowed me to improve my techniques and work with clients on my own. During my time at CLS I had the opportunity to teach a hair coloring class at Tricoci school, work in weddings doing hair and makeup, and continued my education on hair and makeup techniques.
