Katie McAuliffe's strategic expertise in developing partnerships with third parties spans trade associations, advocacy organizations, grasstops and grass roots relationships as well as corporate and government partners at the federal and state levels. Her policy expert in telecom and technology issues spans more than 15 years in academia and in Washington D.C. Over the years, she has worked on policies covering topics such as: spectrum, internet connectivity, tech/telecomm regulatory reform, cloud, data centers, privacy, blockchain & cryptocurrencies, competition & antitrust, automated vehicles, future of work, intellectual property etc... As Senior Director of Telecom Policy at ITI, McAuliffe covers global telecom policy issues for ITI members including connectivity, spectrum, 5G deployments, 6G development, network usages fees, Open RAN, cloud, subsea cables, data centers and cybersecurity issues related to telecom networks. She manages a full range of telecom related proceedings across geographies including the U.S., Europe, India, Brazil and Canada.Before joining ITI she ran Digital Liberty, a think tank associated with Americans for Tax Reform that performs research and develops policy positions on tech and telecom related issues and advises on any policies that touch the internet. Digital Liberty shares its research and writing with elected officials to contribute to the legislative process working across the political spectrum to help solve tough policy debates.As Executive Director of Digital Liberty, she was relied on by policy makers for her perspective, expertise, strategy and unique coalition building capabilities.
