I have a passion and love for children. I relate to them and I know how to have fun with them along with teaching them about our world and educating them on how to become respectful as well as empathetic individuals. I am very creative and I think outside the box about new activities that teach important skills such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, physical education, communication skills, manners, listening skills, reading, writing comprehension, creativity in art etc.With children I love teaching sports, going to the park, creating arts and crafts, puzzles, singing, playing board games, phonemic awareness, reading, teaching about empathy and how kids can solve their problems creatively. I enjoy helping kids find what they are creative about and passionate about in their lives! I have worked with children since I was thirteen years old at a church volunteering with the younger children. I had my first mother's helper job at thirteen. Since then, I have babysat for many families and I worked in the childcare ministry of Central Peninsula Church in Foster City, CA and on call for their two sister churches. Previously, I worked childcare at The Vineyard Christian Church in San Carlos, CA. From there I became an infant, toddler and preschool teacher at CCLC Shores. After my son was born I value my career all the more and what teachers provide for students and families! After my first son was born; I became a lead toddler teacher at KinderCare Foster City. I then was promoted within my company and I became the director of Champions at Roosevelt-Before and after school program in Burlingame that served approx. 60 students/families TK-5th grade for 3 years. I now am pursuing my multiple subject credential and MA of ED at SJSU so that I have my own K-4th grade classroom in the future.
