- Manages the financial, purchasing, and inventory control processes for the Department of Pharmacy- Works collaboratively as a member of the Pharmacy Leadership team to facilitate the integration, management, and data needs for Pharmacy services- Leads the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of operational, revenue, personnel, and capital budgets and develops strategies for improvement and/or correction of deviations from budget as necessary - Identifies and monitors for cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities- Ensures ongoing integrity and accuracy of the pharmacy revenue cycle- Supports optimization of the 340b drug purchasing program- Supervises pharmacy business staff to ensure optimal quality, productivity, and personnel development- Provides indirect oversight of pharmacy inventory processes to ensure accurate valuation and optimal inventory turn rates- Performs rigorous tracking of high cost medications and provides analysis so that stakeholders can understand the flow of dollars in the department- Delivers oversight of departmental financial performance (i.e. creation of budget summary information, review of financial statements), processing of invoices, monitoring of purchasing contract compliance, pharmacy billing compliance, and charge master maintenance- Develops P&L reports for Retail Pharmacy and Contract Pharmacies to update senior leadership on a monthly basis on programs' financial performance- Managing all Retail Pharmacy third party reconciliation needs to ensure the organization is appropriately paid

• Produces and maintains capital, operating, and salary budget reports to be utilized as a reference throughout the fiscal years• Assists Senior Director of Pharmacy with preparation of statistical volume, operating revenue, drug inflation projects, and expense calculations• Identifies revenue and/or expense issues and concerns that may impact the annual budget; prepares appropriate analyses and recommends action plan to resolve, as necessary• Performs various financial analysis for department as needed. This includes but is not limited to budget savings initiaves and evaluations of new and existing programs• Reviews and prepares monthly budget variance reports with identification of root causes and action plans as necessary in preparation for team meeting• Extracts financial and utilization data from applicable information sources as necessary to resolve issues and reconciliation• Maintains a current FTE or position control report based on filled positions and reconciles with Finance for budgeted positions• Develops and reconciles monthly expense allocation reports to reallocate expenses to the appropriate departments around MaineHealth • Monitors high cost drugs to track where the majority of the money is being spent throughout the department as well as to identify possible cost saving opportunities • Assists the Director of Acute Care and the Pharmacy Technician Manager with overseeing the Inventory semi-annual physical counts and reports final counts to Finance• Works in/navigates well in the following systems: One Staff, EPIC, EPSi, Lawson, Pandora VIA, RX30, and Pharmogistics
