Well, I was a receptionist at Waxing the City in Lavista, Nebraska, where I greet visitors, maintain calendars for appointments, and sorted mail all while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. In addition, I was asked to be promoted to Assistant Manager because my work ethic is reliable, consistent, and goal-oriented. Although I enjoyed the work that I did, after graduating from Northeast Community College, where I obtained my Associate of Science and Health Information Management Medical Coding and Billing Degree, I decided to look into jobs in my field of studies. The Medical Coding and Billing program caught my interest because of my love for helping people. In 2017, I earned my Certified Nursing Assistant but quickly learned that I would rather be behind the scenes than be more hands-on with the patients. A class that was offered in the Medical Coding and Billing program helped me have on-the-site training. I am grateful for my hands-on experience and the extension of my knowledge.
