Katie Pelkey is a dynamic leader in the performing arts industry, currently serving as the Managing Director of Aurora Theatre. With over a decade of dedicated service to Aurora, she has played a pivotal role in its evolution and success.Katie's journey with Aurora Theatre began in 2008 as a Resident Stage Manager, where her keen eye for detail and love for theatrical production set the stage for her impactful career. Later transitioning to the roles of Company Manager and eventually General Manager, she brought strategic vision and operational finesse to the organization while honing her leadership acumen, paving the way for her current role.During the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Katie successfully secured $1.5 million in government relief for Aurora Theatre, ensuring the organization's stability. During this time the organization also underwent an extensive expansion project in partnership with the City of Lawrenceville to build the Lawrenceville Arts Center, led by Co-Founders Anthony Rodriguez and Ann-Carol Pence.Katie holds a deep commitment to fostering artistic excellence and community engagement. She looks forward to continuing to drive Aurora Theatre forward, championing its mission to celebrate humanity’s rich cultural fabric through entertaining and education programming, cultivating a community of belonging for all.
