Supervisor of Coding/Billing• Supervise Coding and Billing for 23 doctors in a multispecialty clinic. Update and maintain all super bills for the different specialties of clinic. • Code for 8 specific doctors and fill in for other coders for their billing. Supervise 4+ people.• Help maintain the education and training of the nursing, physician staff and other departments on the principles of coding as it applies to their department. • I am one of three certified coders in my clinic, that I helped obtained certification. And I am currently supervising an AAPC apprentice in achieving her full certification in April 2013.• Help flag errors in coding for the Reimbursement Department and the Central Billing Office. • Work Billing queues for errors and reimbursement issues.• Monitoring of Dialysis charges on a monthly basis for trends in billing for Nephrology.• Help the central billing office with denials and appeals on insurance claims. • Process super bills for payment. • Work closely with clinic manager on coding and billing issues and training of new policies for MANA.• Hospital coding and billing for 5 Gastroenterologist and 4 Nephrologists in multi-hospital settings.

Team Leader Processor/Work Comp Div. • Supervised the claims processing of 6-12 people and the states that they processed. I was in charge of evaluating errors in coding and made sure that edits for each of the states were up to date and active. • Re-Eval specialist: In this position I evaluated claims submitted for payment that had been appealed for payment.• Evaluated the codes and documentation for payment or further denial for inappropriate documentation. Worked closely with each state adjuster for claim approval. • Processed claims for about 7 states. I had a 98% accuracy rate in processing. I was able to take the most difficult state, Pennsylvania, from processing in the red to processing claims in the black.
