I set vision, strategy, and direction for the product while remaining in tight lock step with other initiatives affecting lending processes. -Played a key role in the growth of ATB's AI-based advice tool by strategically vetting and prioritizing scaling opportunities, actively managing resourcing, and aligning roadmaps with direct-to-customer platforms to expose capabilities.-Conceived and implemented strategic plans for ATB’s Virtual Assistant which included contracts with vendors, key success measures, and building alignment between multiple stakeholders with varying degrees of buy in and subscription to the product goals. -Provided targeted feedback and coaching to individual product managers whose experience ranged from entry level to many years of experience. Built a community of practice to share learnings, insights, models and templates to further develop the group’s product practice.

Myself and my peers set the strategic direction and vision for the group, provide coaching and guidance to product managers, remove major blockers and ensure alignment between squads and teams. -Lead multiple squads in the development of an end to end business lending and fulfillment application that incorporates the machine learning solution described below, aimed to generate over $3M in efficiency gains-Spearheaded the automation of and reporting for ATB’s CEBA program in response to COVID-19. Headed a large, cross functional, newly virtual team on a tight timeline and ultimately fulfilled the largest number of CEBA loans of any financial institution in Alberta (22,000 loans). To date this work represents over $500,000 or 10,000 hours of human work effort saved.-Successfully created and implemented strategic plans for the IPA team which include team structure, emerging technologies, skills and capabilities assessment, development of best practices, and team member engagement

In this role, I am responsible for creating the vision and executing on internal process re-design projects using intelligent process automation. Using agile methodologies, this role involves listening to customers, aligning with partners in the business, conceiving the future state vision and seeing user stories through to pilot and delivery along with a team of analysts and developers. As product owner for the Margining and Covenants Automation in CFS and B&Ag, I work closely experts in data science & machine learning, risk, credit, sales, and executive leadership in order to deliver efficient, customer-centric processes while managing risk effectively.As a leader, my team looks to me for high level project vision, removal of barriers, prioritization of work, stakeholder management, and commitment to the agile mindset.

In this role, I was responsible for creating a framework of process ownership across ATB. This meant inventorying thousands of processes across the bank and categorizing them according to the BIAN model, then collecting data on the efficiency, risk, and customer & team member experience elements of each process to create a heat map of risk and pain in the organization. This aided in the prioritization of process improvement projects across the company, and an assignment of responsibility to specific process owners to tackle their most painful processes. Additionally, I aided in deep discovery and evaluation of processes relating to loan servicing, mortgage origination, mastercard servicing, financial reporting, and human resources to determine their feasibility for an automation initiative.

Facilitated process improvement workshops for groups within the business, with the goal of encouraging team members to "re'imagine" the way they work, and accomplish their day to day work in a more efficient and forward thinking manner. Worked with managers and process owners to develop challenge and goal statements, coordinated stakeholders to participate in workshops, organized workshop logistics including travel, venue, catering etc. and facilitated the workshop itself. Followed up with teams to provide support and perform benefits capture.

As the Campus Branch Manager on the U of C campus, I am responsible for the day to day operations of the branch, managing budgets, building connections with groups on campus, running financial literacy seminars, and planning events. ATB's key strategy pillars on post-secondary campuses are: Presence, Career Opportunity, Sponsorship, and Financial Literacy. It is my reponsability to ensure that our branch is representing these key pillars in everything we do on campus. My goal is to ensure ATB is part of the university community, and that we can act as a resource for students to get advice and gain knowledge, not just open an account and be left to navigate their finances independantly.

In this role, I am a self managed personal banking specialist responsible for helping a portfolio of clients with their personal banking needs including accounts, registered plans, loans, and investments. This role requires exceptional communication, discipline, time management, and organization, as well as a deep understanding of the banking industry's rules and regulations. In this role, I am also responsible for the creation and development of a new product to ATB currently named the Wedding Financing Program. The program provides financial planning assistance to engaged and newly married couples looking for a way to spread the cost of their wedding and related expenses over time rather than paying in lump sum or using other methods of financing such as credit cards. I am completely responsible for all aspects of this new product including developping the product offering, coordinating with the marketing department to create marketing materials, building partnerships with local industry vendors to get the word out to clients, and planning events to promote the product. I am excited to be in charge of planning our booth at The Wedding Fair and Bridal Fantasy this January, and am thrilled to have partnered with S2 Bridal, Valley Ridge Golf Course, and Metro Element Florals on this project.

In this position, I took part in decision making and planning of a training plan for the organization-wide implementation of a new online expense claim program called iExpense. I was responsible for managing the iExpense training program which trained over 30,000 AHS employees over the course of 1 year. I assisted in the development of training materials including online learning modules, job aids, FAQ documents, and instructor-led training programs using User Productivity Kit, Microsoft Office tools, and other-web-based platforms. I was also in charge of scheduling training sessions using the organization's MyLearningLink system, coordinating training staff, planning logistics related to training programs including transportation, room bookings, and coordinating system access for training participants. Overall, the training was a success and routine training for new staff has been transitioned to an operations department rather than the project team.

As a part of the Finance Projects team, my responsibilities mainly revolve around the creation of project related documents and materials. Currently, our most significant project is the implementation of the i-Expense program across the organization, which will allow employees to submit expense claims online. My role in the project has been to assist the communications and change management lead by developing a communications and change management plan, power point presentations, training materials, emails and memos, and marketing material to inform stakeholders of the project's purpose, goals, and plans. As part of this position, I have received training on applications such as Microsoft Project, User Productivity Kit, Oracle applications, and Sharepoint. I have also played a role on the Finance Systems Access team, granting access to finance applications as per requests submitted by front line managers.

EDGE is a large scale business competition and simulation that attracts competitors from across North America and is one of the main competitions put on by The Alberta School of Business. In this role, I am responsible for planning the venues, banquets, and evening events that are part of the weekend-long EDGE Business Competition. These events include a welcome reception, an evening fun night, a corporate networking event, a formal business dinner, and a final awards gala. Along with my events director, I am responsible for booking each venue, arranging catering, and corresponding with all of the vendors involved in order to produce a successful and smooth-running weekend of events.Success in this role is dependant on meticulous planning of logistics, precise organization, careful budgeting, clear communication, and thoughtful problem solving.

My responsibilities included the start to finish planning and execution of the Business Students' Association's annual Winter Gala event from selecting a theme, to planning the menu, to day-of set up and logistics. The event involves an elaborate theme with coordinating decor, an elegant sit down dinner, and entertainment such as casino tables and a photo booth. Working on a tight budget and short time line, I creat a successful event that wowed attendees including former news anchor Carrie Doll, businessman Angus Watt, and other prestigious edmontonians and allowed students the opportunity to socialize and have fun in the midst of the busy school year.The event hosted over 260 guests, came in under budget, and was "one of the best run events (she's been to)" according to Carrie Doll.

My responsibilities include walking customers through the car rental process, explaining products and liabilities to customers, and providing excellent customer service. I also answer questions over the phone, communicate with insurance companies and body shops, perform contract audition, make courtesy calls, and deal with customer concerns and complaints. In addition, I am often responsible for training new employees, and performing other HR functions such as scheduling, assisting with interviews, and managing disputes between employees. I am responsible for monthly marketing duties including corporate account visits, service calls, and cold calling. Daily, I evaluate a number of accounting measures and set monthly goals for the branch in terms of sales, revenues, and costs.

My responsibilities included greeting patients and checking them into the computer system, guiding them through necessary paperwork, and ensuring they were seen by the doctor at their appointment time. I was also responsible for answering phone calls, directing messages to specific doctors and nurses, and reminding patients about upcoming appointments. As a special project, I was assigned the task of creating a new system to organize request forms in the clinic area. I analyzed the usage of each form and designed a system that best met the needs of the users.

As a server, I was responsible for the customer service aspect of each meal service. I was often responsible for up 7-10 tables at one time. I took customer orders, entered them into the POS system, ensured they were prepared to the customers specifications, and delivered the food to the customer. I was also responsible for ensuring all of my tables were served their food in an appropriate time frame and was held accountable if anything went wrong in the meal service process. As a shift manager, I was responsible for ensuring each server was properly taking care of their assigned tables. I oversaw the entering of orders and the service of prepared food. I was often called upon to solve difficult problems if the servers felt uncomfortable or if they could not solve the problem themselves. At the end of each service, I would close the tills and ensure all payments were forwarded to the accounting department. I also made sure that the dining room was prepared for the next day's meal services.
