I worked for the UNC-CH Gene Therapy Center (under Dr. Joe Kornegay) as a research technician for a colony of dogs (primarily Golden Retrievers) with muscular dystrophy. I had a large role in managing the breeding program (AI, whelping, and neonatal care) as well as preventive health care of the colony. I also assisted in many various research projects.
