I am a skilled and passionate teacher. Taking in information and communicating it to others is one of my greatest skills. I have been teaching movement since I was 14 as I was a competitive gymnast and started teaching gymnastics at that time. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University and a Diploma in Environmental Technology from SAIT Polytechnic. Over the past 10 years I have dedicated myself to the science of movement through multiple certifications and trainings, as well as through hands-on experience. I have taught tens of thousands of students the practice of yoga, acrobatics, kettlebells, resistance training, inversions, mobility and more through classes and workshops all over North America, with my largest offering being a yoga class to 450 people for lululemon’s SeaWheeze event. I specialize in mentoring fitness professionals to be better coaches through the use of language and cuing, the understanding of functional movement patterns, the use of observational skills, and cultivating genuine care for those they work with. I classify myself as a Movement Educator, not just a Coach or Instructor. I strive to teach each person I work with why their unique body moves the way it does through customized exercise prescription, corrective exercises and training for their unique goals and performance. I am a very efficient, organized, and intentional person. I tend to be a leader in each community I am a part of and am dedicated to learning and improving as an individual.My experience as Owner/Operator of my fitness studio and clinic means that I am well versed in all aspects of running a small business, including staff management, finances, advertising, day-to-day operations, etc.
