My role is focused on accelerating Peterborough's transition towards developing a circular economy. This involves working with a diverse range of stakeholders in order to inspire, enable and catalyse change across the city. See below for a snapshot of recent projects and activities…- Business engagement & support - raising awareness of the circular economy concept and the economic opportunities it holds. This is delivered through 1-to-1 engagement, a range of workshop sessions and local events.- Circular business guide / maturity model - to further help local businesses adopt circular economy principles, we have worked collaboratively with local stakeholders to co-create a business-level circular maturity model. As well as allowing businesses to track the progress they’re making, the model critically acts as a step-by-step guide to support local businesses through the transition to more circular operating models. - Circular City Roadmap - working with local stakeholders to develop an action plan to ensure we keep on track to achieve our circular city ambitions. This involves a number of workshops with high-performing sectors in Peterborough to co-design high impact demonstration projects. The Roadmap will also consist of a city-wide performance monitoring framework, including a series of circularity metrics and indicators, to measure our progress towards becoming a circular city. - Share Peterborough - marketing, managing and developing our B2B online sharing economy platform, Share Peterborough. The platform facilitates the sharing of products, equipment, skills and facilities between local organisations. - Funding - pro-active horizon scanning for funding opportunities and bid writing. This includes experience coordinating stage 1 and stage 2 Horizon 2020 funding proposals.- Profile raising - securing Peterborough’s position as a global leader in the circular economy transition.This includes building partnerships and presenting at international events.

- Active role in implementing the University of Leeds’ Sustainability Strategy. - Effectively communicated university wide sustainability opportunities to the School of English. - Increased student awareness of recycling options.- Liaised with local charities, such as the Together Women Project, to organise volunteering partnerships with the English School.

- Researched and analysed local competitors’ service offerings, alongside global market trends. - Worked with Directors to assess core business values and produce brand vision. - Created a 200+ page new website using Wordpress, including design and content generation (malcolmsproperties.co.uk). - Liaised with local businesses to create interactive online village profiles.- Organised successful fundraising events for charities.- Created and delivered monthly presentations to engage staff in new initiatives and co-create company change. - Created effective multi-channel marketing campaign, across newspapers, targeted leaflets and social media (Facebook, Google Plus), which increased property instructions by 30%.
