I am a recent Louisiana Tech graduate who majored in Biochemistry. I started working at age 17 in the restaurant industry where I put in two years to the same company. There I learned how to professionally take phone calls, retain names and faces, and handle situations where a customer is not satisfied. I then left that job to take a position at Louisiana Tech as a teacher's assistant. In this role I monitored lab experiments and aided in teaching freshman chemistry. I was responsible for setting the labs up with the proper equipment and guidelines as well as doing basic office work. My organizational skills were used many times in this position. During the summer when school was not in session I worked for the Lincoln Parish Public Library in the children's department. There I found a firm understanding of the importance of education and community. I continued to use my office and phone skills. I also improved my research skills while working there. In June of 2020, I received a job at Sprinkles Early Learning Academy as a Pre-K3 teacher. During my time here I worked my way up all the way to the assistant director position. I believe this demonstrates my ability to learn, improve, and grow with a company. Here I have been put in a managerial position for well over a year and a half. This experience has motivated me to find a job where I will always have room to work up into management when appropriate. It is something that I enjoy!
