Over the course of two years, we established an outstanding, unique menu and created an experience for locals and tourists to enjoy, with made to order cuisine and our exceptional customer service and trained staff. Creating, developing, & operating our own business required essential skills. These include: management of staff, safe food handling practices, compliance with health regulations, compulsory legal commitments for determining staff wages, superannuation contributions, and organizing and filing quarterly and annual tax and earnings statements.During this period, implementing fresh marketing strategies created growth in new markets, expanded local trade, and strengthened relationships with local accommodation and retail outlets. Partnering with the local tourism office allowed for numerous networking events and local relationship building. In addition, a special sponsorship of the Noosa Heads surf Lifesaving Surf Club was established by Kabanas as they are an integral part of the community and tourism. Our business was awarded Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor 2014. We also had the highest rating locally of 93% on Urban Spoon. Increased business and profits allowed for major renovations and improvements to the cooking facilities, which continued to escalate sales. Staff retention was incredible, 98% of our required staff stayed committed to us and we actively managed fluctuating seasonal staff. After experiencing net growth margins of around 60% year over year and seeing a 2 year upward trend, a decision was made to sell as a profit-making, fully operational entity with trained staff, developed website & social media, and strong trade relationships with suppliers. Excitedly, a new challenging venture is to be determined!
