I provide consulting services to select clients in the fields of public health research, evaluation, and nonprofit management. Services include grant-writing, meeting coordination and facilitation, strategic planning and evaluation planning, and general writing, editing and research assistance.

The South Carolina Institute of Medicine & Public Health serves as a nonpartisan convener to inform health policy, and uses the latest in evidence-based research advance the Institute’s mission of improving health and health care across the state. As Project Manager, I lead and coordinated the research, planning, and execution of a collective process to foster the development of recommendations for state policymakers and other stakeholders regarding the future of the health care workforce for South Carolina.

Kathryn Zenger was the Director of Grants, Research, and Evaluation for the New Morning Foundation, a non-partisan, long-term initiative to improve young people’s reproductive health education, counseling, and clinical services throughout South Carolina. As Director, Kathryn provided oversight and strategic direction for the research and evaluation staff at New Morning, including all grant-funded program efforts. During her time at New Morning Foundation, she earned the organization over 1.25 million dollars in grant funds, both private and federal.

New Morning Foundation is a non-partisan, long-term initiative to improve young people’s reproductive health education, counseling, and clinical services throughout South Carolina. As Manager of Research, Evaluations and Grants, Kathryn worked collaboratively across the Foundation to lead and maximize the impact of all strategic research efforts. She led the successful expansion of the Foundation's statewide contraceptive access project, developed and piloted an evaluation plan for the Foundation's policy and advocacy programs, and created a strategic plan for the sustainability and dissemination of research results of the Foundation's groundbreaking and decades-long Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative in Charleston and Richland Counties. She also secured a grant from the federal Office of Adolescent Health to build the capacity of a local community (Orangeburg County, SC) to work together to improve teen pregnancy prevention efforts.

SAASH (South Carolina State Alliance for Adolescent Sexual Health) is tasked with building South Carolina's capacity to integrate programs and strengthen partnerships around adolescent sexual health issues. As the Graduate Research Assistant, I oversaw the development, content creation, and publication of the SAASH Call to Action Paper, including securing funding for its publication and distribution costs. Additionally, I developed the website content and coordinated all meeting logistics.
