About Dr. Katie Alaniz
Dr. Alaniz teaches undergraduate and graduate education courses at Houston Christian University, through which she is tremendously blessed by the opportunity to work alongside students seeking to make a positive impact in schools and society.As a digital learning specialist and elementary teacher for over a decade in both public and private school settings, including her service at River Oaks Baptist School, Dr. Alaniz has developed a passion for guiding and supporting fellow educators as they seek to meaningfully incorporate digital tools within their classroom learning environments. She received her doctoral degree in Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Houston, where she served as the lead facilitator of the teacher education program, guiding preservice teachers in reflecting upon and developing their professional practices.
