I am an accredited mediator, having graduated from the London School of Mediation (LSM) in June 2023. I am a Registered Mediator with the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), and I am an International Mediation Institute (IMI) Qualified Mediator.I am also a non-practising solicitor, having been admitted as a solicitor in September 2001. I am known for my patience, kindness and compassion. I am a highly analytical thinker, ego-free leader who retains the client's perspective. I am a dedicated and conscientious professional who fosters a collaborative approach from those in my team. Whilst working in private practice I specialised in clinical negligence and my clients included NHS Resolution and the Medical Protection Society. In my pro-bono law work I advise some of the most vulnerable members of society offering them access to legal advice on a wide range of legal issues including employment, housing, family, education, benefits, wills and probate, crime, and pre-action civil litigation matters.SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGEMy main areas of specialism are medico legal work and dispute resolution. I led and managed a team of volunteer legal advisors and students and was responsible for training, developing and supervising the clinic team. I have stepped back from this leadership role to concentrate on mediation, but do still advise at clinics.VOLUNTEERINGWhilst taking a career break to parent full-time, I use my legal and leadership skills to volunteer at a free Legal Advice Centre. In addition, I took on the role of Treasurer at a local pre-school, and I also volunteer at a local state primary school, supporting teachers, children and other parents.
