Test Engineer
I was the lead engineer responsible for a new IP which will be used for production of vanadium electrolyte. My responsibilities included operation and debug of the beta system, developing and validating the prototype system, and preparation to scale up the system for manufacturing.
Test Engineer (Contract)
I was responsible for subscale testing of vanadium redox flow batteries. I built test stands and fixtures, debugged the operation of the tests, wrote Labview code to run the test stands, and wrote Matlab scripts to analyze the test data. I was also responsible for writing test and calibration procedures for optical, flow, and open circuit voltage sensors, which are essential in the operation of the battery system.
Product Engineer
I was heavily involved in interfacing with customers in implementing QDVision's Color IQ technology into their system designs. I was involved in the creation of the customer's product from its inception until it is released to manufacturing. My main role was to run data analysis on product designs and create customer specifications. I was also heavily involved in designing experiments and doing root cause analysis to troubleshoot customer issues.
Display Test Engineer
As a test engineer for the display lab, I was involved in the groundwork of Color IQ implementation. In addition to designing test beds, running tests, and designing experiments, I was also very knowledgeable about measurements and data analysis techniques. I was especially proficient at optical measurements. I designed test software using VBA to improve lab repeatability and throughput. Graduate Research Assistant
In this position I worked as a Master's student researching the mechanics of bacteria; particularly in how mechanics and deformation related to adhesion. I customized a 2D finite element code in Fortran by changing the algorithm to allow for more complex shapes and orientations. I did an extensive study of mechanical properties to use as modelling inputs, and ran a convergence study to make sure my model ran correctly. In addition I created a similar model in Abaqus for CNT adhesion. Undergraduate Student
My senior capstone project involved designing and prototyping a robotic medical device for rehabilitation. I was heavily involved in the design of the components and the selection of motors, transducers, and other mechanical parts. I created the CAD model for the project in SolidWorks. I programmed a PID controller using an Arduino and force and torque transducers. I programmed the user interface and data collection software in Python.
Display Co-Op
As a co-op student, I was in charge of running all of the measurements for the display testing lab. In addition to testing, I build test beds and setups, customer prototypes, and demo units by retrofitting existing TVs with QDVision's technology. I debugged customer systems using thermal measurements and mechanical prototyping. As a personal project, I wrote measurement software in VBA that took measurements at intervals over 90 minutes to improve the display lab testing.
Product Engineering Co-Op
