I am Cuban-American outdoor advocate, freelance writer + social media expert, professional adventurer, climber, public speaker, former van-dweller, and public lands wonk. My love for the outdoors, community and protecting wild spaces is the focus of my work within the outdoor recreation industry. I believe the outdoor industry is responsible for doing good and giving back. I see opportunity for empowerment, empathy and action in every outdoorist–and I wants to help the outdoor community do good, from public lands policy + sustainability, to better access + inclusion in our parks and in the media.As a consultant, I have brought my social media expertise to organizations like Outdoor Alliance, Outdoor Industry Association, American Alpine Club. In the media, I've been featured by CNN, Outside Magazine, Lonely Planet, BACKPACKER, The Denver Post, and more. In late 2019, I started the Outdoor Advocacy Project, an initiative building a powerful collective of outdoor advocates through education and action on stewardship, sustainability, public land and community ethics.
