In 1985 I was hired to start up the Light Industrial Division at Masterson Personnel. Working alone, I set up operations, applicant tracking, filing systems, payroll records, and sales function. I sold accounts in the morning and filled orders in the afternoon. Once the branch was self supporting, I was able to add administrative assistants and staffing managers. During my tenure at Masterson, I was active in most every aspect of the temporary staffing business. I sourced, interviewed, hired and trained all staff for operations and sales, cold called, telemarketed, prepared proposals, presented rates and services to clients and closed deals. I recruited staff to meet the needs of the client and book the orders. As the business grew I became the General Manager of the Light Industrial Division. I managed sales, new accounts and customer satisfaction. I conducted performance reviews, negotiated salary, managed PTO and benefits for the staff. I also maintained a sales territory and was responsible for the 'A' accounts, the large volume clients. I was promoted to Vice President of Operations and ended my career Masterson in 2010.
