Katie works closely with Stanford faculty, staff and external advisors to develop DCI's strategic vision and goals, and to deliver the programs and resources to achieve them. DCI provides Fellows with customized curricula and access to a wealth of resources at Stanford and in Silicon Valley that support Fellows on their journeys to renew purpose, build new communities and recalibrate wellness ­– physically, emotionally and spiritually. As a former DCI Fellow (class of 2018-19), Katie is passionate about the importance of life-long learning and the unique connections that DCI provides for Fellows, students, and the broader Stanford community.

Reorganized multiple offices to create an integrated hub for professional development at the Leeds School of Business in 2013. Manage a team of 11 who provide career readiness and advising, employer relations, mentoring and industry experiences to over 3,000 undergraduates. Key initiatives have focused on earlier engagement with career development, more targeted communication with student groups, and better tracking and follow-up through the implementation of Salesforce.com.As a result of these initiatives, Leeds increased the number of students placed from 2013 to 2014 by 162%, increased the number of students with internships by 114%, and more than doubled the overall student response rate to our outcomes survey (from 32% to 68%). In the same year, visits to the Career Office by 1st and 2nd year students increased by 30% and Career Fair attendance increased by 69%. Other initiatives include increased opportunities for career exploration and alumni connections via Sophomore Site Visits and Career Treks. These activities engaged over 250 students with more than 100 companies in Denver/Boulder, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and San Francisco in 2014.

As the Director of the Mentoring Office, I combined all broad-based mentoring programs at the Leeds School into a single mentoring office, connecting our programs and students into an extensive and robust mentoring community. My responsibilities included student and mentor recruitment and training, program development and delivery, marketing, communication, technology integration, and event coordination. The programs provide opportunities for personal and professional development, experiential learning, and critical business connections for all Leeds students. These programs include a progression of mentoring experiences from peer mentors for first-year students, to young alumni mentors for sophomores, and professional mentors for upperclassmen and MBA students. The programs have grown from 134 students and mentors in 2009 to over 2,000 participants in 2014.
