Write, secure, then oversee the 4-year $1.25 million Lilly Endowment grant project which convenes scholars, educators, and expert practitioners to advance knowledge and share insights for new media and preaching, as well as archiving and curating 75+ years of radio broadcast sermons.

The Sinai and Synapses Fellowship is a small interfaith group of clergy, scientists and writers who are committed to elevating the discourse surrounding religion and science. By personalizing the relationship around religion and science, the Fellows are models for a productive conversation surrounding religion and science.

Envisioned, launched, expanded, and secured $300k+ external funding for the Odyssey Fellows program, supporting emerging leaders with trauma-informed media skills across religious traditions. Directed scholarly resource development, educational programming, and institutional relationships that support leaders, educators and practitioners in the field of spiritual care, faith+justice sectors, and houses of worship. Produced/directed Healing the Healers Live Town Halls, and consulted on the broader Healing the Healers media resource line. Produced Doing Theology in Pandemics public theology project in collaboration with Chicago Theological Seminary and the Henry Luce Foundation. Reported directly to CEO.

Teach 7 courses across 3 different course areas: serve as Lead TA for Introduction to Preaching (P501), taught by Dr. Thomas G. Design, resource and lead a large mission program (local outreach, global mission, creation care, justice & advocacy initiatives) at a progressive church of 2,200+ members. Lead worship, preach, provide pastoral care, lead regional and global mission trips, oversee adult education programs. Initiate, sustain and grow several special programs: annual all-church day of service, young adult small groups, refugee resettlement, local anti-poverty initiative. Overhaul and streamline $1 million grant review process to more effectively align church’s mission goals with local grants awarded.

Teach and facilitate young adult groups in large NYC congregation via classes, small groups, retreats, public service events. Help design and lead weeknight contemporary worship service.

Teach and design programming for 50-70 young adults (20’s & 30’s). Co-lead weekly Sunday young adult education hour, weekend retreats, weeknight Taize worship service, small groups. Preach several times.

Worked with Judge Patricia Young to reorganize Community Justice dept. of small, mountainous Idaho rural community, coordinated mediation services with adults and juveniles in court system; assisted with community mediations; taught half-time in preschool; conducted monthly home visits with 20+ (at-risk) families of preschoolers as a certified Parent Educator; initiated Multidisciplinary Team (child abuse/neglect prevention) with County Prosecutor.
