At North Avenue, I worked one-on-one with students ranging from the fifth grade to the twelth grade on their writing skills and academic skills in general. I coordinated my approach with a range of other specialized tutors in the center. I also played a role developing new hiring procedures, researching growth options for the center, and developing a best-practices manual for future tutors.

LMB is a therapeutic learning center where I worked as a seasonal clinician for three consecutive summers. My chief responsibility was to implement nuanced and technical lesson plans with special needs students, monitoring their responses and regulating their learning atmosphere. In addition to the 80+ hours of intensive training I received in my first summer with the company, I was selected for optional additional training and paired with especially severe clients for my second and third summers.

I provided assistance to a 6th grade Language Arts teacher by working one-on-one with students in the classroom and grading papers.

I taught three classes (first, second, and third grade) some basic elements of the English language in a classroom setting. I designed all of my own material.
