- Working to place American university students in internship roles within London- Networking and liaising with new companies to secure new, often specialist, opportunities- Undertake site visits to meet existing, new and prospective organisations- Work with students on any issues that arise prior to and during their placement- Give internship orientation presentations, attend check in sessions and CV workshops- Coordinate timely receipt of all internship evaluations

- Supported School of Creative Arts in student employabilityo Helped to organise and run two major events specifically aimed at Level 6 studentso Included organising workshops and talks and bringing in outside speakers to run themo Organised a job fair for students to meet and network with prospective industry employerso As well as these two larger events we would put on regular smaller monthly roadshows- Ran 1:1 CV review sessions and workshop presentations- Reviewed job descriptions and graduate/internship advertisements being uploaded to online jobs board- Dealt with general enquiries from students, staff, external links/employers and employers being hosted on campus- Coordinated student facing marketing for student events, workshops and activitieso Briefed design agencies on new collateralo Worked on the design for large events and one off bespoke projectso Oversaw the update of material when department when through initial rebrandingo Sent out weekly updates for student workshops to be shown around the university campus and used by department staffo Coordinated and edited the graduate newsletter that went out to graduates for 6 months to support them in their jobs searcho Helped to develop the first basic annual marketing plan

Whilst working in HR I learnt a great deal about general employment law. More specifically I worked closely with the UKBA and had to keep on top of all the changes to visa and immigration law. Alongside this I was the project lead for updating our website for international staff. Day to day duties included recruitment and working with advertising agencies, producing contracts and offer letters and responding quickly to staff queries.

Working to promote Caribou to members of the public in order to raise awareness for this species at risk and create greater understanding of threats causing their rapid decline.This is done achieved through face to face road shows where we display artefacts and talk about the caribou encouraging children and adults to interact with what is on display.Work also includes tracking hikes to find the collard Caribou and report their coordinates back to the biologists.Other ad hoc duties have included talking to members of the public at park days about Jasper National park in general. Helping out with dawn Bird Banding expeditions and working with international volunteers to update camp sites and signage.
