Starting as a consultant in 2002, Katie quickly established her vision for the accounting department and brought order to the essential role. Her marketing and communications background fits seamlessly with her ability to articulate to the Board of Directors the need for detailed accounting of projects; insightful measurement tools; and seamless reporting to bring the bottom line into view for a visually minded group.She has invested considerable time and energy adeptly and supportively helping architects understand and respect the importance of the business-side of the profession.Bringing a wide variety of experiences to the commercial design firm; she continues to expand her role.Key aspects of her day to day include:• Work directly with the President/CEO to develop project analysis tools to direct the flow of the business. • Analyze all projects and status for business development, profitability and efficiency• Business development research and lead introduction• Analyze project revenue and WIP• Manage accounts receivable and collections• Work directly with foreign and domestic clients to discuss and resolve financial issues• Manage cash and bank reconciliation• Manage the Billing Process with Project Managers • Work closely with bankers to facilitate line of credit transactions and investments
