I am a budding communications professional, passionate about climate and food justice storytelling. I have a knack for helping organizations and individuals clarify their messaging and broaden their reach. It is my goal continue to use my skills as a communicator to uplift projects rooted in justice and sustainability.In 2019, I had the privilege building a community urban farm project at Veith House, a non-profit community hub in the North End of Halifax/Kjipuktuk. Growing food with a wonderful community of people was a dream come true and sparked a life-long love for food and food security.My farming experience lead me to get involved with Food Secure Canada Youth Caucus as their Content and Communications Lead in 2023. I am very proud to have grown our Instagram following by more than 400%, and to have brought the important work of the Youth Caucus to many more young people. From developing our communications strategy, to writing newsletters, to redesigning our logo and branding, every experience with this dedicated team of volunteers has been a pleasure. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to connect with other youth from across the country who are passionate about food justice issues.
