Leading press and communications for the award-winning creative studio Swamp Motel as they navigated lockdown and the pandemic. Voluntary position while furloughed from permanent role. Founded by multi-award-winning theatre and experience makers, Swamp Motel creates entertainment that blurs boundaries between theatre, film and gaming. By giving audiences a pivotal role, their innovative productions always thrill you whether experiencing them on your sofa, at your desk or in an unexpected live venue.During lockdown, we created and launched their first immersive, online experience, Plymouth Point, for a three-week run in May 2020. Due to critical acclaim and audience demand, we extended the run and ​Plymouth Point has been running continuously ever since. It has since won a Campaign Experience Award and two sequel events have now launched: The Mermaid's Tongue and The Kindling Hour.

Key campaigns included: - A Very English Scandal- Les Miserables - The Cry- The Long Song- Gentleman Jack- The Boy with the Topknot- The Barking Murders - Doing Money - Shetland Responsibilites included: - Leading communications campaigns for BBC dramas by implementing comprehensive, inventive and resourceful strategies. - Generating innovative ways of increasing favourable media coverage and raising the profile of each drama and BBC Drama as a whole.- Lead for all publicity enquiries and press guidance on each BBC drama for the production team, cast and crew during filming and through to transmission – including advising on decisions based on how this will impact media response. - Anticipating and managing issues with potentially negative impact and handling effectively.- Managing relationships with, and the publicity and communications needs of, a wide range of stakeholders and partners, including commissioners, executive producers, talent, agents, personal publicists, international distributors and studios (such as Netflix, Amazon, Sony, HBO). - Establishing and maintaining a network of contacts with the media, national and regional newspapers and magazines, websites, TV, radio and online outlets and working closely with them to produce regular, positive news stories and features about BBC dramas. - Managing press conferences, premiere screenings, launches and briefings, previews, handling requests for interviews and when needed, face to face audience engagement and activity. - Managing, co-ordinating and chaperoning international and UK set visits for journalists to visit filming of BBC dramas and interview the cast, observe filming and meet with the creative teams.

Key campaigns included:- Muslims Like Us (BAFTA-winning TV series) - Andrew Marr: My Brain and Me - The Black and British Season (including David Olusoga's Black and British: A Forgotten History and Black is the New Black)- Stargazing Live with Brian Cox and Dara O'Briain- Leading on BBC Arts, campaigns including Artsnight, Imagine and Arena. - Leading on BBC History, campaigns including a major Viking discovery in America in The Vikings Uncovered with Dan Snow.
