Lover of people and businesses that are built from scratch.With an honors engineering degree and 7 years experience as a licensed P.E., I set off in my career as a Project Engineer over multi-million dollar construction projects and a love of spreadsheets, contracts, and 5,000 page technical specifications blossomed. I left it to become a military wife and mother, travelling the world and living in Europe for 2 years, but soon CRAVED learning, deep thought and contributing to a team again. For the past 12 years, I've worked as a Marketing Director and Brand Designer (fluent in Adobe LR, PS and ID), Wix Website Designer, Innovation Strategist, and User-Centered Product Designer for a wonderfully diverse group of businesses in the healthcare, automotive, education, construction and industrial fields. I have made significant contributions to each company's success in listening to their goals, conducting audits and market research, developing bold and exciting strategies, and helping align their business activities with their newly-launched brands. I collaborate closely with senior leaders, customers, suppliers, creative teams, technical experts, and sales to deeply examine existing dynamics and products. THIS begins my favorite phase... The deep flow of reimagining "what already is" through an innovative, disruptive, broad strokes, passionately UX/customer-focused lens. After focusing heavily on "finding our why," I help develop the concrete steps to align and embolden our products, services, systems, brand, culture, and strategy. Utilizing scheduling, CRM, analytics, Upwork, and Adobe PS, LR and InDesign allow me to manage projects and create impactful graphic design assets in-house. I'm analytical, curious, honest, self-directing, driven, enthusiastic, intuitive, humble and empathetic. Well, that bragging sure didn't sound humble, but I actually am. :)
