I volunteered on a 24-hour crisis hotline for people who have experienced sexual violence, and attended regular training on trauma-informed crisis intervention. I began as an on-call volunteer, then served as a peer supervisor on the hotline. As a peer supervisor, I provided support to on-call volunteers as well as taking overflow and complex calls.

As my first field placement for the Master of Social Work at Boston College, I interned with BARCC's Youth Leadership Corps (YLC). This group of 11 high school students met regularly throughout the academic year to discuss sexual violence prevention, and to prepare to facilitate to their peers at schools and in after school programs in the Boston Area. In collaboration with the Youth Clinical Outreach Coordinator, I co-facilitated group meetings, drafted curricula and designed activities, recorded notes, and supported the YLC when they facilitated workshops to their peers. I continued as an independent contractor from April until June 2018 in order to see the YLC through their school year.
