While I've had many job titles in my 40 years, I've always identified as being a writer and story teller. I have been published in practically every form of writing including: short fiction, autobiographical non-fiction, academic writing, magazine articles and a children's book. Professionally I have worked as a journalist (freelance, reporter, sports reporter, sports editor) and/or in communications since 2010, where I'm now using my skills to support coastal First Nations as they advance their rights to be the decision-makers in their traditional territories. My academic background is research and writing heavy, including a B.A. in history and Russian studies, an M.A. in Russian and American history and a post-grad certificate in journalism. I have lived all over B.C., from Comox to Kelowna, Victoria, Vancouver and Fort St. John, and have made many wonderful friends and connections while doing so.
