The Senior Director of Community Relations & Executive Director of the Mavs Foundation is responsible for leading and managing all community relations and Mavs Foundation efforts, while working hand-in-hand with leadership teams and external partners to meet business objectives and grow the impact and awareness of Mavs community efforts.

As Vice President of Programs and Operations, I had primary responsibility to drive the direction of CNM programs and services, oversee internal operations and supervise staff in achieving the strategic service delivery goals of CNM’s Strategic Plan. Generating $900,000 in revenue, I led both the general service delivery strategies and those specific to the Education, Consulting, Membership, Opportunity 501 and special programs that enhanced CNM’s ability to drive earned income and create impact for nonprofits.Designed, developed and managed the organization’s Awards of Excellence grant-making process including application design, review and selection of recipients. Over the last 12 years, have awarded 63 agencies and individuals with a giving total of $315,000 for excellence in nonprofit management. Managed more than 400 volunteer judges made up of top community leaders.Wrote, designed and published State of the Nonprofit Sector 2012: The Growing Economy of the Nonprofit Sector in North Texas ©2012 and Surprising Power: The State of the Nonprofit Sector in North Texas © 2009Managed financial reporting, budgets and pricing strategies for three departments, wrote grant proposals and tracked and reported program outcomes and metrics.Supervised and coached nine staff members, including performance evaluation and departmental goal setting tied to the strategic plan.Developed and maintained long-established relationships in the nonprofit and philanthropic community and established strategic partnerships with groups/organizations such as AT&T, Atmos Energy, Bank of America, Fidelity, Southern Methodist University, Dallas Social Venture Partners, the Communities Foundation of Texas, The Dallas Foundation and others to support CNM in the achievement of its mission.

Developed and oversaw implementation of the strategic marketing plan in support of CNM goals for awareness and brand positioning, including marketing strategies for all Center programs and services. Established the Center as the expert in nonprofit management in our region. Built strong media relationships and received continuous placement in media such as The Dallas Morning News, The Dallas Business Journal, Fort Worth Star Telegram, D CEO Magazine and others. Oversaw the development, launch and growth of social media strategies and increased web visibility from 419,000 visitors to 1.9 million visitors.
