Digital Asset Manager

Oversees the day-to-day administration of an enterprise-level digital asset management system (DAMS). Organize, describe, and disseminate digital assets that relate to our encyclopedic collection of almost 50,000 works of art. Working collaboratively with interdepartmental team members, I develop and support sustainable practices around the digital asset lifecycle to ensure the long-term availability and integrity of a wide variety of assets.Act as point of contact with external DAMS vendor for daily troubleshooting, as well as long-term planning and product development.Review specifications for digitization projects and develop workflows for the incorporation of digital assets into the Museum's major information management systems.Lead user training, support, and advocacy efforts for DAM Museum-wide. Assist users with all aspects of DAM, including planning and growth-management of multiple asset collections.Liaise across Museum departments, Information Systems, and external vendors to maintain DAMS stability and accomplish necessary systems back-ups, customizations, integrations, and hardware/software upgrades.Ingest, organize, describe, and disseminate collections-related digital assets.Assist in the clean-up, organization, and maintenance of current collections-related digital assets. Represent the Museum in professional forums and conferences. Participate in related professional organizations (MCN, VRA, ImageMuse, etc.).
