Born and raised in Boone, I graduated from Caldwell Community College with an Associate in Arts and followed that up with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, with a focus on Project Management, from Appalachian State University. Prior to joining the Hospitality House staff, I worked in healthcare for four years, focusing on quality assurance and program development, and served on the Hospitality House board of directors for two years. While serving on the board, I spearheaded the implementation of a Medical Care Outpost in conjunction with High Country Community Health. I am a licensed phlebotomist, also have certifications in project management, total quality management, and am a Six Sigma Black Belt. My best friends are my two dogs, Amity and Zeke, and a cat, Nymsie, and I love socializing, meeting new people, kayaking, and hiking. My goal in life is to make a difference for everyone in the community she grew up in.
