At Permira, I lead our social impact investments in and partnerships with charities, non profits and social enterprises to support better educational, employment and health and well being outcomes in the US, Europe & Asia.I joined Permira from the Centre for Public Impact (CPI), Boston Consulting Group's global not for profit foundation; an organisation incubated by BCG which focuses on public and social sector transformation. I was part of launching and growing CPI from within BCG to an independent global non profit of 80+ people across Europe, US, Asia and ANZ. I co-founded and set up the UK charity of the foundation, establishing the CPI Europe team of 20+ people and leading as Director of Europe. Before CPI & BCG, I spent time working for the UK government and in communications, focused on creating strategies for behavioural change. Throughout my career, I have also worked in and with a number of charities, such as the Guys and St Thomas' Foundation, Frontline (the social work charity) and 4Children. I also set up Crescendo CIC - a social worker led CIC which works with social workers to unlock their potential for children and families - and am still a Founding Director of the CIC, alongside the two others. The thread that connects everything I have done is a passion for supporting mission driven organisations and businesses.

Director Of EuropeCentre For Public Impact Jan 2022 - Dec 2023London, London, GbCo-founded and led the UK charity of the foundation, working with governments, charities, non profits and mission driven businesses across Europe. Led as Director of Europe, building the CPI Europe team from 3 to 20+ people. Our mission was to support leaders and their teams to reimagine how they work; to become more effective and impactful organisations. Over the years, we have supported leaders with AI, digital and urban transformations, climate action plans, system thinking and transformation, agile, collaboration and human centred design methods, leadership practice, funding approaches, and much more. We worked with organisations like Bloomberg Philanthropies, Google.org, the Rockefeller Foundation, the UN and government departments from many European countries. At CPI, I led an incredibly diverse team and advancing diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging is a core part of the leader I want to be. -
Programme DirectorCentre For Public Impact Jan 2021 - Dec 2021London, London, GbWhilst CPI was still being incubated by BCG, I oversaw all European programmes and cases, including the launch of our AI, Climate and Organisational transformation strategies. -
Senior Associate, Manager, DirectorBoston Consulting Group (Bcg) Jun 2017 - Dec 2021Boston, Massachusetts, UsJoined as a Senior Associate, promoted to manage and then Director. Helped launch CPI - BCGs Nonprofit Foundation - from within BCG. Projects/Cases I have led include:- The creation of a new blueprint for children's social care in England, in partnership with Frontline (the social work charity). The blueprint poses a different way for a local authority to deliver children's social care, in a way that enables social workers to spend more time with families, at no additional cost. The blueprint was used as evidence in the national Children’s Social Care review and was featured in the Guardian and by Civil Service World. It still stands as a visionary document.- The future of US cities. In partnership with the Aspen Institute, we worked with cities across the US to explore what is working in terms of city innovation. I co-authored the final report which outlined best innovation practice across cities, and we presented the final report to a group of 100+ mayors and vice majors interested in how they can drive more innovation in their cities.- Multiple government and organisational effectiveness projects: we created a framework to help leaders in public and social impact design and deliver more impactful policies. I have worked with government and non profit organisations all over the world (incl. Malaysia, Netherlands, UK) on multiple policy areas (incl. education, health and justice) to support them to make more robust, effective policy, and ultimately enable their organisation to better support their communities. -
