In this new role, I will be managing a sales territory consisting of 80+ accounts. I will strive to do what is best for the customer and provide excellent customer service. I am beyond excited to learn more about what this industry has to offer where I can discover opportunities to both further my growth and independence.

I consistently provide excellent customer service by collaborating with my co-workers to ensure uniformity within the restaurant. Additionally, I keep a watchful eye and busy body by constantly being aware of my surroundings such as being on the lookout for a new customer walking in or a drink that needs to be re-filled. I thrive working in a fast-paced, changing environment where I can adapt to every kind of situation whether that be handling a customer complaint or keeping tabs on 10 plus tables at once. The high-energy atmosphere forces me to think on my feet and stay positive in frustrating circumstances.

I work to express effective communication to make personal connections with 75+ customers to maintain repeat business and goodwill. I have learned to adapt to a high stress work environment by handling customer complaints, multi-tasking, and solving problems with ease. I also cooperate with at least 4 other co-workers to ensure quality and efficient customer service by helping each other when needed.

I worked as a cashier and barista while also making and prepping food throughout my shift. This on-campus job allowed me to expand my knowledge regarding customer service in the food and beverage industry while also allowing me to acquire new skills such as hot food and beverage preparation. Additionally, the fast-paced and high energy work environment forced me to think on my feet and solve customer problems with ease in order to achieve a high standard of efficient customer service.

During my summer internship with Republic National Distributing Company, I was exposed to the ins and outs of the liquor sales industry through a nine week interactive sales training course. I worked in a different area of the company every week, so it was very beneficial to start in the warehouse and work my way up the ladder to being out in the field. This experience allowed me to understand how a product goes from the warehouse, then to the customer, and finally to the end consumer. I had the opportunity to apply what I have learned in my Center for Sales Excellence courses to real life selling situations in both field and office work settings. Additionally, I was able to incorporate my psychology minor to process buyer behavior and ultimately, I already had an understanding of how to converse with different personality types. I enjoyed working with all kinds of sales representatives as I got to personally distinguish what motivated each individual salesperson in regards to winning incentives and making more money. In saying that, it was interesting to discover first-hand what differentiated them from their peers and the competition.All in all, exploring the city of Omaha through working both on and off premise sales provided me with a plethora of new knowledge and hands-on experience that I can take with me in my future career as an aspiring saleswoman. I assisted the business owner by helping to manage 3 social media accounts and get materials ready to be delivered to hospitals and doctor’s offices. I also personally developed an organized cleaning schedule and job duty list for 4 other technicians to ensure uniformity within the office. I consistently provided excellent care and service to all patients to ensure a positive and upbeat experience for all.
