COMMUNITY CHANGE STUDIOCOLUMBIA GSAPP - URBAN DESIGN - FALL 2024What does it take to change a community for the better? How do urban designers help to bring about this change and for whom? What are the forces shaping communities today, and how can we direct those forces toward making better lives for generations to come? How is the ever-more-urgent call for justice reshaping the practice of urban design? How do urban designers develop the personal resolve to get up everyday to do this work in an era of great turmoil at home and around the world? This studio is about the work of urban design, not in theory but in the lives of real people who need help designing the future of their communities.
