It all began in 1979 when local businessman Bill Thomas published the first issue of the Exchange. The direct mail shopper was created with one purpose in mind—to help local businesses and individuals make connections.Four decades have passed since that first issue rolled off the press. Today, the Exchange continues to help thousands of people make connections through six weekly print and online editions that reach throughout southern middle Tennessee and beyond.
