Managing and enhancing the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resource policies, programs and practices. Including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, claims management, compensation and benefits, employee health and safety, employment verification requests and payroll tracking. Additionally responsible for production related objectives in regards to all food safety and quality program requirements, while maintaining the highest safety standards and responsible for obtaining all appropriate certifications in regards to compliance (PrimusGFS, Global Gap). This includes keeping up to date on state, federal and commodity specific food safety regulations, maintaining all food safety related logs, records and testing results, as well as design and implementation of food safety protocols and training.

Conducting fisheries science related research concerning Skagit River Steelhead populations. This project required competency in planning and implementing field tasks such as the operation of rotary smolt traps, surgical implantation of RFID tracking technology, operating multiple PIT array system and assisting with the management of an array of hydro-acoustic receivers. Extensive data management, manipulation and report writing for scientific publication and grant opportunities.

Monitoring and operation of rotary smolt traps to assess fish passage issues at multiple hydropower facilities. Other duties include assisting in ESA listed adult salmonid fish passage through trap and haul operations, Pacific Lamprey telemetry work, and the assessment of experimental fish passage methodology. Assisted in habitat monitoring, ESA Bull Trout monitoring activities and the completion of data manipulation for published scientific reports.
