As a renal social worker, I serve as part of the interdisciplinary care team for in-center hemodialysis patients and provide detailed case management, including patient plan assessment and evaluation. I am the primary liaison for kidney transplant referrals to transplant centers and area hospitals. I educate patients to help them make informed decisions regarding their care, including transplant, home dialysis options, and advanced directives. I help patients address the psychological, emotional, and social challenges that affect their quality of life, and equip them with information and resources for managing the financial demands of chronic kidney disease.

The Engineering Living Learning Program is the largest residential learning community at UK and home to 600+ engineering students. I oversaw admissions, developed social and academic programming, and supervised 30 peer mentors. I worked closely with Residence Life, the College of Engineering's Hardymon Center for Student Success, and First Year Engineering faculty to support engineering student and retention.I served as the staff advisor for the Engineering Student Council and coordinated the Engineering Alumni Mentoring Program. I also served on the College of Engineering's Health and Wellness committee.

I advised undergraduate students in the College of Social Work with a focus on freshmen, where my responsibilities included data management, event planning and logistics, at-risk student intervention, and service on the scholarship committee. I also taught UK 101 to pre-social work and exploratory studies students.
