I’m a psychological scientist who leads, conducts, and translates research to find science driven solutions for stakeholders. Currently, I do so as a data scientist consulting with Arbitration Sciences Limited, where we provide insights in how arbitrators think, feel, and make judgments in international disputes.Skill wise, I am an experienced analyst, leader (e.g., project manager for nationally funded research agendas), and trainer (e.g., teaching and establishing reliability with over 20 trainees) for qualitative and quantitative research projects. I independently consult on psychology and research design, including but not limited to, methodology, literature reviews, data analysis, prediction, execution, evaluation, and translation of findings for major corporations, hospitals, non-profit organizations, and the like. These projects are not only cross-disciplinary where I work closely with lawyers, arbitrators, medical professionals, non-profits, and business leadership, but also international with my collaborators residing in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Content wise, I specialize in emotion, legal decision making, youth trafficking, and violence. My mixed-method work relies on a variety of analytic approaches (e.g., correlational, qualitative, experimental) and multiple sample populations (e.g., arbitrators, medical professionals, law enforcement, laypersons, victims) to provide actionable outcomes (e.g., effects of emotions in decision making, case strategies in international arbitration, improving identification of youth victims). My work has been recognized by awards and funding from the University of Southern California and University of California, Irvine from the Dean of Social Ecology, Center for Psychology and Law, and the Initiative to End Family Violence. My work has also appeared in notable journals such as Psychology, Crime, and Law, Motivation and Emotion, and Pediatric Emergency Care.
